PUTRAJAYA: Barbers – including private barber services – are still not allowed to operate, says Senior Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob.
"The law does not allow this service to operate for now. It doesn't matter if the barber is called to the house or office for a private service.
"It is still in the prohibited list and cannot be done," he said on Tuesday (May 12).
Ismail Sabri was asked about a report claiming that VIPs and police officers are asking for hair-cutting services to resume.
"This is news to me. I have not received any news on this, so I cannot confirm it," he said.
Despite the relaxed regulations under the conditional movement control order, hairdressing services are among the businesses which authorities have yet to allow to resume.
