At yesterdays Parliament sitting, YB Pasir Gudang cited two precedents when Votes of Confidence were initiated by the then Prime Ministers. One was when Prime Minister Tun Abdul Razak Hussein passed away and Tun Hussain Onn, upon his appointment invoked articles 40(a),43(a) and 47(a) of the Federal Constitution when he as Prime Minister initiated a "Confidence votes" in Parliament. The 2nd such votes of confidence took place when Tun Mahathir resigned and Prime Minister Tun Ahmad Badawi initiated votes of Confidence in Parliament. So, if Prime Minister Datuk Sri Ismail Sabri were to do likewise, would it be something entirely new or unexpected or unprecedented? Certainly not, especially when Prime Minister already has the blessing of our Yang Di-Pertuan Agong Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri'ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah,
We have just over one year to go for next national election, why on earth would YBs knowingly want to put road blocks in front of them in Parliament by addressing issues less than the urgent needs and priorities of recovering our struggling economy and getting the millions of suffering Malaysians out of their miseries? How dare they shamelessly flaunted the sacred words "untuk rakyat" and "kerana Rakyat" to legitimise their own political mileage which may not benefit rakyat in the immediately future.
